1st experiencia en españa

España es un país bonita, estoy contenta aquí. Tuve muchas experiencias nuevas, un idioma nuevo, una familia nueva y comida nueva. Al principio, sentí muy abromada con todo. Estaba especialmente frustrada cuando hablé con mi madre nueva, no entendía casi nada. Ahora, quiero vivir en la ciudad de Oviedo y comer tapas todas las días y aprender más español.
La otra noche, mis amigas y yo fuimos a un restaurante de tapas, "La Mezquita." Este restaurante es mi sitio favorito en la ciudad, es muy cerca de la catedral, abajo una calle muy pequeña.Fue muy difícil a ordernar porque estuve un poco nerviosa y mi español fue muy mal. El camarero no me entendió, el fue embarazoso. Pero, comimos unos pescados pequeños, normalmente no como comida que tiene una cara y ojos pero estos pescados fueron muy deliciosos. Fue muy divertido a visitar con amigos y estar en un lugar nueva y encantador. Me parece que los españoles piensan que divertirse con sus familias y amigos es muy importante, me gusta esta costumbre mucho.

Hasta pronto Espana

I am totally excited for my trip to Spain, well except for the lengthy plane ride (I get horrible motion sickness). I really don’t know what to expect when I get there, except that I will be completely lost in a foreign language and I’ll probably eat some gazpacho. I feel like I have already forgotten a lot of the Spanish I have learned up to this point, which scares me. Hopefully the woman that I am staying with will be very patient with my horribly, basic Spanish-speaking skills, I’m pretty sure I’ll get laughed at. Even if I can’t speak the language so well, I can stuff my face with all the great, new food and maybe speak less. The food is what I am really excited about…is that silly? I’m a food connoisseur, or so I’d like to think. But other than the food, I’m also really excited to meet new people and see so many new places. My goal for the trip, to not be so obviously American or a tourist, but i'm sure once I open my mouth my cover will be blown. See you in Spain!
